A little rundown on your typical 7th Day Adventist -- he takes the Bible pretty literally, practices Sabbath on Saturday, doesn’t eat pork and frowns upon alcohol... not that there's anything wrong with that.

According to Meagan's rep, the preacher proposed last month in L.A, but the couple has known each other for years. They began dating just after production wrapped on "Jumping the Broom" ... which Meagan starred in, and DeVon produced.

New York Lawyer Has Black Clients Wear Glasses,Calls It "Nerd Defense"

Interesting. What do you all think? Clever idea or is there a little bit of stereotype here?

New York defense lawyer Harvey Slovis has been handing out non-prescription, thick-rimmed hipster glasses to his cleints to help them make a better impression on juries. He calls it his "nerd defense," and, indeed, African-American defendants wearing glasses are seen as more intelligent and honest, according to a 2008 study. (Glasses did not have the same effect with white defendants). It hasn't always worked: Slovis gave fake glasses to five African-American defendants on trial for a 2010 murder, but the prosecution figured out the scheme and branded the nerdy glasses as "masks."

Some Employers ask Job Seekers To Share Their Facebook Login

How would you react if an employer asked you to sign into your personal Facebook or Twitter during an interview in order to know more about you? From the Washington Post...

In their efforts to vet applicants, some companies and government agencies are going beyond merely glancing at a person’s social networking profiles and instead asking to log in as the user to have a look around.
“It’s akin to requiring someone’s house keys,” said Orin Kerr, a George Washington University law professor and former federal prosecutor who calls it “an egregious privacy violation.”
Questions have been raised about the legality of the practice, which is also the focus of proposed legislation in Illinois and Maryland that would forbid public agencies from asking for access to social networks.
Since the rise of social networking, it has become common for managers to review publically available Facebook profiles, Twitter accounts and other sites to learn more about job candidates. But many users, especially on Facebook, have their profiles set to private, making them available only to selected people or certain networks.
Companies that don’t ask for passwords have taken other steps — such as asking applicants to friend human resource managers or to log in to a company computer during an interview. Once employed, some workers have been required to sign non-disparagement agreements that ban them from talking negatively about an employer on social media.
Asking for a candidate’s password is more prevalent among public agencies, especially those seeking to fill law enforcement positions such as police officers or 911 dispatchers.

Invisible Children's Co-Founder Detained by San Diego Police

Since the KONY 2012 video has turned many into global activists I thought this piece of information was quite interesting. Jason Russell is one of the Individual Children Co-Founder's responsible for the KONY 2012 video that went viral just last week or so.

A co-founder for Invisible Children was detained in Pacific Beach Thursday night for being drunk in public and masturbating, according to San Diego Police Department.

Jason Russell, 33,  was allegedly found masturbating in public, vandalizing cars and possibly under the influence of something, according to Lt. Andra Brown. He was detained at the intersection of Ingraham Street and Riviera Road.
Brown said Russell was acting very strange.
