Desperate times call for desperate measures. If it means stopping terrorists, then I don’t care if its unconstitutional. If you are not a terrorist then you shouldn’t have to worry. Further more, President Obama didn’t just whip this out of his rear end this morning. It started at the bottom before it got to the top.

Its Republicans & Democrats – they are both fascists.

We need a real third party in order to become a true democratic govt.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha – America wanted freedom from a despotic noble class in England.

Guess what America has now… A Despotic Noble class using oppression as a means of governing.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

The two party system keeps us fighting useless culture wars while tyrants and traitors pillage our country and enslave our people. Wake up America – all you are being offered are competing foms of totalitarianism. I am voting for liberty. I am voting for Ron Paul.

President Ron Paul would have set this bill on fire on the Senate floor and put John McCain and Carl Levin on trial for high treason.

God help us all if anyone other than Dr. Paul gets elected in 2012. This NDAA situation will get out of control.

With reservations? That’s rich. I wonder if I could get away with that. “Yeah, I murdered 15 people, but I did it with reservations. So it’s all good.” What kind of BS is that? ABC has zero journalistic integrity. Part of what makes the news so dangerous is that they completely ignore some huge stories, like the Federal Reserve spending $16 trillion dollars in complete secret in 2008, while the Congress passed a $700 billion bailout bill. What’s perhaps even more dangerous is to report horrendous news like this, but act like it’s no big deal, because it was done “with reservations”. I don’t care what the Congress or the President’s mood was like when this stuff passed. I care that it shouldn’t have ever passed.

This article is just wrong, incorrect, mistaken. There is no right given to arrest and detain US citizens without trial.
Quoted from the bill “(e) Authorities- Nothing in this section shall be construed to affect existing law or authorities, relating to the detention of United States citizens, lawful resident aliens of the United States or any other persons who are captured or arrested in the United States.”
Meaning you have you have all the rights and protections you always had. Calm down people. And ABC needs to do some research before they write a story.

There is a r3VOLution against this, it is called Ron Paul. Why do you think we Ron Paul supporters have been so hardcore supporting him? We have seen all of this coming because we have been researching the things that the media won’t tell you. Why do you think they label Ron Paul crazy? It is because the powers that be are taking everything from you that Ron Paul wants to give back to you. This is why we are so bent on supporting Ron Paul, but you all won’t listen, you will just keep believing he is some nutcase because he wants to go the exact opposite way of the government. You people want a r3VOLution, you want to end legislation like this, you want to end corruption, then get your buts behind Ron Paul, donate to his campaign and start spreading the word to everyone you know about him. He is the only choice if you care to save what is left of this country. Wake up.

I read somewhere that it was OBAMA’s administration who insisted on putting in the language that it also pertains to American citizens on our soil.

If anyone has a link to that, please post!

The NDAA is the single worst piece of legislation passed in American history.

The Republican House, Democratic Senate and Barack Obama have just “reached across the aisle” to annihilate any remaining semblance of liberty and justice in this country. And of course, like the Federal Reserve Act and every other nakedly fascist bill before it, the NDAA was passed over the holidays. What could they be afraid of?

My compliments for finally mentioning the NDAA, ABC! I know you’ve been too busy tearing Ron Paul apart limb-to-limb to even *question* the actions of the House, Senate and Obama in this assault on American citizens, but better late than never.

Does anyone remember when the media didn’t carry the State’s water like it was their damn religion?

Does anyone remember when the free press would risk life and limb to expose government attacks on our liberty?

Me neither.

Vote Ron Paul.

Ron Paul tried to warn you all, but you just wanted to call him names.

Both parties are at fault for this disaster of a bill. Don’t be fooled, they knew what they were voting in and President Obama knew what he was signing. I don’t want to hear about his ‘reservations’, he was not forced to sign this act, he did so willingly. Now he just has to save face because he is up for re-election. I am not placing the blame solely on him, as I stated, the Republican party is as much at fault for this as well.

I hope that my fellow Americans are now awake enough to realize that we cannot keep voting for these establishment, treasonous criminals. Although the Left and Right hate each other and fight for the right to retain power, they also work together to keep us under their control by stripping us of our liberties.

Please understand that those of us who so passionately support Ron Paul, do so because we have thoroughly researched this man and see him as the only politician who is willing to put the American citizens interests before special interests. He is the only one who’s 20+ yr record has proven that he wants us to remain a free and prosperous people. I am not asking anyone to take my word for this. Please research Ron Paul for yourselves. The media and the establishment politicians on both sides hate him because he is a threat to their power and their bank accounts. He speaks the truth and that is dangerous to the establishment agenda.

I am a mother of 2 children and another one on the way. I am begging you all, for the sake of my children and your own, please vote for Ron Paul. Our freedom depends on your doing the right thing for your country and your fellow Americans.
Thank you and God Bless.

In a rare display of the two party effort to dismantle the constitutional protections of the people from government, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin issued a joint statement of solidarity with the president to commend his acquirement of new “influential” powers to the office of the presidency and encouraged him to set a tone of “cooperation” with the American people. They strongly urged president Obama to set an example of the abridgment of rights by “disappearing” top gop presidential hopeful Ron Paul. Gestures of reciprocity were made should the president loose the office in the 2012 election given the conveyance of the new “defensive” powers.

“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” ~Benjamin Franklin

If you feel safe because of laws like this to protect you then you deserve to be a slave with no freedom. Anyone who can support someone other than Ron Paul for 2012 should be a shame. It’s a disgrace to all Americans and ALL Veterans who fight for our freedom and die for our freedom. For reasons like this is why Most Veterans support Ron Paul. Michele Bachmann voted for this. Romney agrees on it. Nobody but Ron Paul disagree with this, WAKEUP AMERICA!!!!!!! TURN OFF your tv and avoid the mainstream media and Do your own research and you will see why we need Ron Paul. Romney will just be worse than Obama as he already is a puppet to the corporations that fund and support him

Wake up stupid people! This has been in the process for the past two months and now you are outraged? Only seven senators opposed this bill. McCain pushed it through and wanted even more power given to the military. It’s either four more years of Obama or Eight years of Romney without change. Get behind the only presidential nominee to oppose this bill. Ron Paul 2012 or else.

And they all wonder why we have been yelling vote Ron Paul from the rooftops, buying him blimps to fly around the country, covering our cars in stickers that say vote Ron Paul, buying ads, hanging huge banners from bridges that say vote Ron Paul, canvassing door to door handing out information on Ron Paul, throwing snowballs at Hannity because of how he treated Ron Paul, having marches for Ron Paul. Did you people think it was because we were nuts, no we were educated and informed, we shut off our televisions and actually studied the candidates and knew this is the kind of crap they were and are bringing. Do you think we are crazy now, or do you realize we have known about stuff like this coming and have been trying to save what is left of this country? This is we are Ron Paul fanatics, it is because he wants to save what is left of this country. If you care about your freedom and your future for you and your children, research Ron Paul and start donating to his campaign, start spreading the word about him, volunteer for him, support him with all you can, or just simply let this country fall to it’s knees. Don’t just vote Ron Paul, spread his message like wildfire!!!!!!!

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

I already support Paul, but I can now say without a shadow of a doubt that if you are voting for any GOP candidate or were a believer in the change Obama preached about, send him and the establishment a strong message.

Register now in your respective states as a republican and vote Paul in the primaries. Do not for one second believe any other GOP candidate would restore our civil liberties, freedom and rights… Paul has been warning about our road to ruin for 30 years, as far as I’m concerned Osama won, and we lost. Left, right, moderate or indifferant- do the right thing and support Paul.

To the blind person who said this: “Much ado about nothing. When did Republicans go soft on terrorism? They applauded when GW signed similar legislation. If you are not a terrorist, you don’t have to worry. If you are, you don’t really care about some stupid law. Either way, much ado about nothing.”

Actually, what this is now is a reason to detain ANYONE for ANY REASON. Like when they drag us away to FEMA camps. This is not about terrorism, this is about control! This will not just apply to potential terrorists. This will apply to just about anyone that they feel they have a right to detain. You need to wake up.

The media constantly cast aspersions on Ron Paul’s claims about having never read the offensive newsletters that were published under his name.

The ironic thing is that 95% of House and Senate members DO NOT READ THE BILLS THEY PASS, but are not called to task for this. Ron Paul even wrote a bill that would mandate a certain time period between the introduction of a bill and its vote so that, you know, more than he and five other Congressmen might actually read it.
