Well, that does it. With that, my vote will move from Obama to Ron Paul officially. Thanks for making that decision an easy one Barrack. And thank you Ron Paul for continuing to stand for this country’s integrity.

How anyone with a conscience could continue to support Obama after this signature is beyond me! Furthermore, the Senators and Representatives who voted for it deserve their chance to stand up and be recognized for their part in this. What does the Constitution allow for traitors? Anyone with an approval vote or signature on this bill (that’s all it is to me) deserves that fate. We’re soon approaching the day when we can vote out these traitors and vote in people who will stand up for the People and the Constitution.

Obama Signs Act to Allow Detention of Citizens

Huuummmmm . . . . sounds like a Progressive move to me.
Why am I not surprised Barry would do this?

Posted by: Noz | January 2, 2012, 8:43 am 8:43 am

If he disagrees with provisions in the act, then why would he sign it into law? Sounds like politics to me. I can speculate with great confidence that once the people become tired of this story, like they have with every other similar, repulsive act passed by congress, we’ll find Obama using sections 1021 to detain Americans without cause.

I think it is time for all of us to wake up and fight the government. I had reservations, too concerning the candidacy of Ron Paul. But now, it just proved that he was right all along. We have to cast our votes to the right candidate and begin dismantling this oppressive government.

Posted by: Ron | January 2, 2012, 9:44 am 9:44 am

I would like to address a couple of things.
1. There were many posts here saying that American people were excluded in the final version of this bill. This is FALSE! I had seen it stated on several news sources that they ARE included.
2. Anyone who believes that any of the other candidates running for President would not have signed this, You are fooling yourselves.
There is only one man who for the past 40years has been fighting to keep all of your liberties intact, to try to keep congress in check, and limit the size and scope of government.
RON PAUL!
People are making a big deal that in all his years in congress he only had 4 bills go to the floor and one pass. When the establishment stands so firm against you is it any wonder he got so little of his own work done?

Posted by: Anthony | January 2, 2012, 10:03 am 10:03 am

Ron Paul is the ONLY hope left for America! For almost 30 years, Ron Paul, or Dr. No, has consistently and steadfastly legislated and voted in honor of his oath to the Constitution and in the best interests, civil rights and freedoms of the American people.

We may not agree with all that Paul says but one thing we can all agree on… Ron Paul is an honest politician, a rare breed indeed; and what you see is what you get. Ron Paul’s rhetoric matches his record.

It is far past time to end this two-party/one-party monopoly of a government packed with greedy, self-serving members of Congress working against America’s best interests. These global elitists have continually, for at least the past three decades, thrown America under the bus in their misguided quest for open borders, “globalization” and the push towards a One World Order.

We must get back to the Constitution, the rule of law, and what made America great.

Ron Paul for President.

I hope many of you are now seeing that democrat vs republican and left vs right is nothing more then fake professional wrestling. They are 2 heads of the same coin. I t is time to purge the system. The perfect way to purge it is to vote for Ron Paul. Ron Paul is the only candidate who has spoken out against it. Time to think my fellow countrymen.

I think the president’s comments have been taken out of context. When he said “reservations,” he meant he had a 2:00 tee time he had to get to.

OBAMA-NOV 1-2008″ “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded (as the military)”

“including American citizens arrested in the United States” is a lie. The author of this article should read the bill instead of other misinformed blogs.

Good job, Obamaphiles! You bum rushed Hillary and put a community organizer in charge of the business climate so you could get…

“reservations.”

Now I am scared! So, we will have no defense. Anyone can say anyone is a terrorist. So if you happen to be looking things up for research or if you do ANYTHING the government deems suspicious . You are at Fault? We talk about Iran and all these paces look at what our government is slowly doing they are taking away our rights and freedoms. WOW!

Unbelievable !! I’m a lifelong way left-wing democrat, who never voted for a single Republican in my life (except Arnie) and the first thing that springs to mind after reading this is “I’m voting for Ron Paul”

where is the outrage.
when Bush signed the Patriot Act, there were calls for his arrest. Ashcroft is a war criminal, etc.
What kind of media do we have.
and why was it impossible to even find this article. Had to link to it from Daily Caller.
This is Stalinist Russia for sure.

It is abundantly clear that the true enemies of freedom and the American people are our leaders. This law clearly shows that our current leaders hate freedom and hate America and want only to exploit it for the benefit of their global masters. Our government is antiChristian, antiFreedom, antiCitizen, and now dedicated only to destroying our nation. They just destroyed our economy and now they are coming after us. People, we know in our hearts what is coming next….get ready for it.

The media will do everything they can to suppress what dear leader and his administation does. They will keep doing this until we all wake up as communists.

Another out of context idiotic post. Care to tell us the lies again about how the President didn’t address Pearl Harbour in December?

Really, Kimberly Jack???

Maybe you need to adjust the propeller on your tin foil hat. It is tilting so far left that you are in danger of falling over.

Perhaps you missed it, ‘wheresmymoney’ was posting that the President hadn’t addressed Pearl Harbor in December, and that this was a travesty against all that is American and that the media hadn’t called him to task for it.

Well, President Obama had spoken directly on Pearl Harbor on the anniversary and it was covered by almost all of the major media, so ‘wheresmymoney’ was shooting his mouth off and attacking the President completely uninformed.

That is demonstrative of the type of ignorant nonsense posted by right wingers on this site. Americans are sick of this biased crap.

… Yeah, Kimberly Jack. And after 3 years in office, he finally got around to visiting Pearl Harbor, not on the anniversary date, but a few days ago.

What sacrifice!
