The president defended his action, writing that he signed the act, “chiefly because it authorizes funding for the defense of the United States and its interests abroad, crucial services for service members and their families, and vital national security programs that must be renewed.”

King Obama continues to take away our rights and others. No due process, assassination of uncharged American citizens and Gitmo still open as a recruiting tool for terrorists, all actions Obama and Democrats were to end.

Remember the outcry against Bush and GOP over Patriot Act. This is real violations of our rights, not the made up worry of FBI looking at our Library records.

I am not voting for Obama but this really only applies to people suspected of terrorism. If you think it is such a big “change” and its an awful idea, we did the same thing on a much larger scale to the Japanese in WWII. Our nation has a history of doing this in times of great conflict. We are on the verge of WWIII, and if you don’t have any reason of being a suspected terrorist than you have nothing to worry about.

Matt, you are basically aying that you are OK with detention of US citizens without charge or reason, typically, like you say, during WWII, based on race. If you think what happened during WWII was OK, you are dead wrong. And if you do not realize how this bill poops on our constitution, you should go read it. Much ado about nothing. When did Republicans go soft on terrorism? They applauded when GW signed similar legislation. If you are not a terrorist, you don’t have to worry. If you are, you don’t really care about some stupid law. Either way, much ado about nothing.

The bottom line here folks, … is this:
