This is completely unacceptable! Even though I’ve always been a democrat, am thinking about switching party affiliation in order to help out the Paul campaign.

Eva Gold,3;04 AM. I did not vote for Obama mainly because he has never done anything to convince me that he was ready to run this country especially during hard times. Many people did. Some were just swept away with his empty speeches and some thought he was sincere. Now that we the people have found out what this is all about hopefully these people will not be suckered in again. Lets not blame the ones that put him in office but now that they see the proof lets hope they don’t make the same mistake twice. This is a serious situation and if we do have another election it needs to be shut down. Ron Paul looks like the only choice to do that.

Look out, Tea Party…. How many Dem’s and R’s have declared you terrorists? The Oministration has declared that the Taliban is not our enemy…. The Tea Party is.

Go figure.

HWT, You could be right about a war. I am sure the Obama team is reading this and sees he really needs some type of distraction to make this go away. Iran could be the ticket he is looking for. This will most likely be swept under the rug along with all the other scandals and our strained military will pay the price.

I hope all the media that is funded by Soros will now wake up. Once the “agenda” is complete and this is just another step, they will have no use for you either. Keep these stories alive so people will wake up and see what is going on. I wonder if there will be an election come 2012?

Posted by: specialty57 | January 1, 2012, 6:12 am 6:12 am

………………

No, there will not be an election in 2012. Congress and POTUS just sealed the deal. It’s all about retaining power. The Tea Party and OWS are a threat to the Elite. The Elite can now imprison and/or detain us without charge.

Wake up, America!

I was listening to C-SPAN the other morning and they had senator Tom Harkin from Iowa on. There were a few different people who called in and reamed him out about this bill. His explanation was that the supreme court had said it was constitutional after Roosevelt had arrested German conspirators (some US citizens) in the usa during WWII, because they were supposedly planning to blow up US infrastructure.

I wanted to tell Mr Harkin, the difference between now and 1943 is that, that was a “Declared War” by congress, against a sovereign country. Not an unwinnable war against a form of strategy (terrorism). Thus the difference being that this time it is a never ending war!!

These politicians know that if Americans really knew what they were doing that we would never go for it, but they depend on our ignorance to keep pushing through their police state agenda.

I hate to say it, but 90% of americans have no clue what the NDAA is, or what it did, and that is something that we need to change. We need to change the ignorance of our population when it comes to political matters, or else we are all doomed.

This is tyranny; the same kind of tyranny we took up arms to break free of over 200 years ago.

happy and healthy new to all! this will be the greatest election in many years! and i am looking forward to the battle! for we will win!

This is just plain wrong. Those who think it doesn’t apply to American citizens better read it again. One of the saddest parts is that the Senate voted it in by 93 to 7 or something incredible like that. It’s bad and it’s wrong.

Posted by: ginger | January 1, 2012, 8:51 am 8:51 am

The tea party and OWS need to come to an understanding. We are Americans. I disagree with the method and message of OWS, but I believe that should be able to peacefully assemble and they should be able to address the government with a list of their grievances. This law will allow the military to round up OWS and other peaceful dissidents as terrorists threats.

Ron Paul for 2012! Without him in office, the Republic is over.

Posted by: Greg | January 1, 2012, 8:59 am 8:59 am

The sickest joke is people think guys candidates like Perry or Romney or other GOP candidates would’ve vetoed this. Seriously, none of them ever brought this up except Ron Paul (LIKE HE DOES CONSISTENTLY). Media lies of racism, but zero coverage of this.

Yes, we can ! Yes, we can !

Now I know what he really meant…

Obama you should have grown a pair, and not signed it.

Posted by: Disgusted | January 1, 2012, 9:20 am 9:20 am

Obama thought that signing away the constitution late in the evening and the next day being holiday would cover this all up and the idiots would not even notice what was taken from them. Well, we have noticed. I also have noticed not one single person has come on here and tried to justify this tragedy, not a single one that usually take up for him no matter what. Obama may have just made his bed for a permanent vacation if there happens to even be a election in 2012. Look for some kind of disaster such as a war, terrorist strike, something to divert the attention between now and August so that all this can be swept under the rug with all the other scandals.

Posted by: specialty57 | January 1, 2012, 9:36 am 9:36 am

Just so all of you know and want to think that this bill was completely crafted by republicans, it was a bipartisan bill. The sponsors were McCain (R) and Levin (D). Start thinking outside the box and oppose anyone, regardless of party, who voted for this.

If you haven’t read 1984 by Orwe,ll you better. It was once considered science fiction but is quickly becoming a users manual.
ARE YOU LISTENING TO RON PAUL NOW?

Posted by: Ed | January 1, 2012, 9:42 am 9:42 am

Amazing, the People lose all their freedom and THEN they want to vote for Ron Paul.

Posted by: John | January 1, 2012, 9:54 am 9:54 am

Here’s your hope & change libs!!! If GWB had done this EXACT SAME THING, it would be the lead story on ABC World News Tonight and there would be far left radicals in the streets destroying private property and burning pictures of Bush in effigy. But since its THEIR guy in office, they either won’t say a word or find a way to blame the GOP.

Libs are pathetic hypocrites.

“Obama you should have grown a pair, and not signed it.”

Someone forcing YOUR guy to sign it? He’s the POTUS. He signed it, he OWNS this bill. When will you sheeple wake up? But keep telling yourself the GOP is to blame if it helps you sleep at night know you helped put this man in the WH.

Posted by: Dan | January 1, 2012, 10:02 am 10:02 am

I am not a Ron Paul supporter (most b/c of his scary foreign policy ideas) but if he wins the GOP nomination I will vigorously and passionately support him to win the general election.

I just hope that all you Paulites will do the same if someone else wins the GOP nomination. WE HAVE TO GET OBAMA OUT OF THE WH!!! Even if you dont like the GOP alternative, having turnover in the WH ever 4 years is better than allowing one man to have 8 years to take a wrecking ball to this country & its Constitution.

Vote Obama out!

Posted by: Dan IN SC | January 1, 2012, 10:07 am 10:07 am

Does this mean Obama’s good friend Bill Ayers can now be arrested and held indefinitely?

Posted by: Maxwells | January 1, 2012, 10:25 am 10:25 am

When WWIII pops off and the American Gestapo start rounding family members into FEMA camps, it’ll be a little too late for anyone to say, “man, I shoulda voted for that guy who was against all this.”

…”crazy” uncle Ron, wasn’t so crazy after all!
